Output I get is : "boinc : boinc video render vboxusers" so I am assuming so?

Yes, you're OK here -- boinc has the necessary group membership.

Don't know if it's needed here but in both LinuxMint and Windows the VBOX Extension Pack is not installed by default, I use both OS's as well and had to install it to get the LHC and LHC-dev tasks to run and get credits. On my Ubuntu Linux box it was installed by default.

I added the VM Extension pack, but still having problems. The WUs will now at least run for a while (hours in most cases) but then still error out. Anyone figured out what else to do?

How many are you running at a time, I only run 1 at a time

Well, I was just letting BOINC do its scheduling thing. With my particular settings, up to 4 at a time were running. I looked up how to limit them (max_concurrent in app_config) and am now trying limiting to two at a time. Just got the first two about an hour ago, so we will see in about 7 hours....

To help us with testing and gathering performance statistics, we ask that you do not abort related work units.

If you increase the deadline from 1 to 3 days.....

I have also, randomly, some
196 (0x000000C4) EXIT_DISK_LIMIT_EXCEEDED
errors...

Please give us a way on the project site/preferences to NOT download these Python VBOX tasks so that we can exclude computers that cannot run them. That way we won't have to manually abort them when they get downloaded, and get stuck and fail to run..

That is possible. Got to the computer details page and on the bottom is een SKIP button for these tasks.

upon python tasks using virtual box
At first i crunched in the past with an other account for LHC@home using virtual box
at first by LHC@home the virtual box could crunch with 8 different virtual box tasks at the same time
Under Rossetta this is not possible. it must be a mistake in the configuration of the the tasks that disallow the multitasks function. But i know that it is possible to run in multitasks becaus it was possible by LHC@home or knowed under the name CERN in France

Must be a setting on your side because I am running 3 tasks concurrent. Do you have a app_config.xml file. Perhaps you have put a limit on the number of tasks and vergotten about it.

That's a really weird place to put it (should be on the project preferences page), but thank you for the information!

the computer is equiped with virtual box and extension pack
The model of computer is an HP Omen obelisk with 16 GB ram
He was working for the CERN without problem. but what i see in python project is that he is working like a pentium (one core)
he is computing without proble at the same time 7 tasks roseta beta and one task VB 64

The python tasks need near 8 to nine hour to be computed
But the computer is doing only one python task and seven other
at the same time the coprocessor is working for asteroids@home
To have an idea of what the computer is doing the last week use the following link:
https://statseb.boinc-af.org/synthese_membre_v2.py?cpid=78be9789d499a47a2b3c7303e5994a1e
I just resdtarted with rosetta

I think that you don't have enough memory.
I use only 3 cores out of 4 for these tasks and have 32Gb (40 Gb including virtual memory) and I have just enough to run them.

Is this why so many python tasks fail "disk limit exceeded"?

<rsc_disk_bound>20000000000.000000</rsc_disk_bound>

If so, given that the project people don't seem to have noticed,
what's to be done?
