New task packets can be bound in the Task tab, and download progresses is running, but no data have been downloaded successfully. Transmission rate always 0kbps. What happened? My guess is that your (our) computers have our trust database out of date and Rosetta's data are up to date. For users of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.6 (and many others, including Fedora versions and CentOS versions) one should be able to get it back up to date by running update-ca-trust as root. * For Windows users and many other flavors of Linux, you may wish to upgrade your boinc-client to 7.20.5; I have not used this, but I have read it. I am not sure that is necessary because I have 7.20.2 running on my Windows10 box and it seems to run OK. Right now, it may not make any difference, because Rosetta has no work to provide, but that could change at any time. _____ * In Red Hat it will change stuff in /etc/pki/ca-trust/extracted as follows $ ls -l total 4 drwxr-xr-x. 2 root root 39 Dec 25 11:39 edk2 drwxr-xr-x. 2 root root 35 Dec 25 11:39 java drwxr-xr-x. 2 root root 47 Dec 25 11:39 openssl drwxr-xr-x. 2 root root 101 Dec 25 11:39 pem |

Thanks for your help. I have upgraded the Boinc Client to 7.20.2. No task has been assigned yet now. I will keep watching it. :-) |

Where do you get 7.20.5 from ? I do not know where to get 7.20.5. I read it somewhere on the Internet, but cannot find it. I never used it. Maybe someone typed 7.2..5 when they meant 7.20.4. I understand your perplexity, especially when you look at https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php. I imagine they are out of date if they say that. 1.) I am running 7.20.2 on my Windows 10 box, and it seems to work fine. 2.) I do not have a Mac, so I do not know what they are using. 3.) I am running 7.20.2 on my Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 8.6 (Ootpa) system. I got it from https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/8/Everything/x86_64/Packages/b/ (files are in alphabetical order). It stopped working on Rosetta a week or so ago, but continued to work on my other 5 Boinc projects. I had to run update-ca-trust to update my security certificates so that Rosetta would talk to me. I think it is working now for Rosetta, but I cannot be sure because Rosetta is not supplying work at the moment. |
