Just detach from rosetta and there they go , phutt , and all those dead pythons and stuff that lurks therein that folder
There ,
That's better ,
Now I feel in my normaly detached state ,
Bliss .

Waiting another night. Maybe there is a reset during the night, which queues all the jobs again to download.

I did a ResetProject a few weeks ago now, and even though I have getting new work turned off, it is trying to download these items. app_config.xml is mine and already there. However it cannot download the others, as has been the problem "forever". Notice that these files were "created" but are all empty.

The old problem is still there.

I am in the same situation ,
I detached this system from rosetta a few weeks ago and now its back to having `ghost` files that will not download and are 0kb in size on disk ,
and it is not just the workunits that will not download the applications and rosetta database files are the same 0kb on disk and will not download ,
and another system I am unable to reattach it to rosetta "project communication failed" etc ,
So ,More work required on the servers .

Anyway, let the guy at Rosetta do there job. Seems not so easy these days.

then, i am able to download WU

Well I decided to give the debugerit flags thing a go using 7.16.20 [on win7 x64] and the event log output is extensive to say the least of it
what a lot of broken connections and handyshakes it shows up ,
and it did do something , but get the stalled database and exe files downloaded it didn't
so . no joy just another poot .
Ok , better upgrade to 7.20.2 like I waz told . . .
Errmm , and do all that debugering about again .
and another load of `output` from the eventualy logged shows up , I will spare all the bother of posting it here coz there is loads of server guf , but it got itself sorted !!
but it did chuck up the "not requesting tasks coz some download iz stalled" bit again
Ok, so letz go bash the `retry` button on the transfers tab and see wot happenz
Hmmm , oddly , after sufficient tenderizing of the mouse they have downloaded the database and .exe files
Still no work available ,
but I will just have to wait and see if I can catch any next time there is some to be had .
One of my other win7 crunchers is still unable to even reattach to rosetta and is already on 7.20.2 so there is still something wrong somewhere

i have now some tasks downloaded, computed , uploaded but it seem that the stat page don't show anything else Zeroes

What do you suppose Rosetta did on 2022 December 22 (the last time I completed and received work units for Rosetta)?

I notice that Rosetta has no problem talking to my Firefox web browser that also speaks https. But their download server cannot do it, complaining it cannot find the certificate. So how does Firefox do it? No other Boinc project has a problem.

How can I get a proper certificate for their damned download server? Just theirs, not just an obolete file with a hugh number of servers not particularly identified?

There's nothing you can do except wait for them to 'fix' the problem... The problem doesn't seem to be anything on your PC's.

Based on others error logs and reporting, the problem apparently is with Rosetta servers/certificate or something in between.

This stuck download problem is also affecting tasks for Android

Task named rb_01_18_478545_475140_ab_t000__robetta_cstwt_5 has been stuck with 4 files pending in multiple download retries for almost 8 hours on my Android device.

Too bad the staff and persons responsible for admin of the project are unreachable by us common users.
