After years of running Rrosetta@home I can no longer get tasks to downloadSince there is no Rosetta 4.20 work to process (other than the odd resend or extremely brief burst of RB Tasks, and even rarer infrequent bursts of other Tasks), that's why you can no longer download work- unless you system requests some at just the right time. There is plenty of Python work available, but it requires VirtualBox, and massive amounts of RAM & storage space. And even then, getting the Tasks to be processed (and keep working when new ones are started) appears to be problematic at best. Grant Darwin NT |

I get either 4 rosetta python tasks or one if there are QuChemPedIa@home tasks which also require VirtualBox. This on 12 GB RAM. Tullio |

what can I do to continue running rosetta@home? If you want Rosetta 4.2 work, then nothing but wait till there's work available. To run the Pythons, those require significant amounts of RAM and dsk space and you must install VirtualBox. |

According to this page, your A8-7410 APU has 12 Pythons, 11 of which are in progress. 1 errored out - I'll let someone more knowledgeable tell you why. |

You also need to "allow" "VirtualBox VM jobs" in the details of your computer description. Go to "Your Account", scroll down to "Computers on this account" - View, Then, on the upper left, click on "Details" (for the appropriate computer if you have more than one). Scroll down to the bottom until you find "VirtualBox VM jobs" and click the "Allow" button. |

I'm having the same issue as OP. I'm not on the forums, much what happened to 4.2? Are 'they' just not creating WU for it any more? How to I get this to run the Python projects? My machine has plenty of storage and RAM. Are there any details/tips on how to keep tasks processing? |

They simply don't use 4.20 as much, from what we can tell. If you want to run Python tasks, you must install VirtualBox and make sure that Hardware Virtualization is activated on the BIOS. Be aware that there are issues with these tasks (frequent disk write/read, tasks that will run for days if allowed while doing exactly ZERO work, etc). |
