I have two Windows 10 machines and one Macintosh. My Windows computers are receiving tasks but my Mac has not received any for several days. I have reloaded the BOINC app multiple times, restarted my Mac as well and still can't get any tasks. I have run out of ideas and desperately need help. My project is Rosetta which I run because it does research into Alzheimer's from which my mother died. Thanks, Louis Beatty |

Hello, Currently, there is little to no work for the Rosetta 4.20 app. Your two Windows computers managed to get some work but the Mac did not. You'll have to wait until there is more work available. The current tasks you are running on your PC's are tasks from the Robetta server, which is a public server set up for basically any researcher anywhere on the world to run whatever they are want based on their research. Sometimes it's possible to know what it is by looking at the Robetta queue but sometimes not. I am sorry about your mother. If you are interested in running Alzheimer's research on your devices, may I suggest you run Folding@home . They do have Alzheimer's work available to run using both CPUs and GPU's. Once you install the Folding@home client (it's separate from BOINC, btw), you can choose to prioritize Alzheimer's research over other research areas (cancer, COVID, etc). Some people like to run Folding@home on their GPUs and BOINC on their CPUs. |
