Has anyone got rosetta@home working on CentOS 8? I installed the client, but when I invoke run_manager, I get the following:

./run_manager
./boincmgr: error while loading shared libraries: libwebkitgtk-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[BOINC]$

I've spent hours searching the Internet for ways to install libwebkitgtk-1.0.so.0 with no luck. Any thoughts?

(BTW, it runs fine on a Mac, which really doesn't mean much . . . have a "spare" CentOS machine I'd like to dedicate to this.)

I had the same problem on CentOS 7 and I had to do this (which I found on these forums somewhere)...

wget http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/epel-release-latest-7.noarch.rpm
yum localinstall epel-release-latest-7.noarch.rpm
yum install boinc-client boinc-manager

Also I had to add my user account to the 'boinc' group (using 'usermod').

Next I have to fix having to run boinc_client manually in a client.

Apologies in advance for any typo's, I need to setup copy/paste from my CentOS VBox VM sometime.
