Hello, I don't understand why the server tell me my computer has reached a limit on task in progress while i have no task in progress and all task of this host are reported as validated. I must reset the project almost one or two time per week. Is there task quota per day/week/month ? Thanks! |

I don't understand why the server tell me my computer has reached a limit on task in progress while i have no task in progress and all task of this host are reported as validated. There is a limit per day, more usually seen when every task errors out and more come down which error out etc. Not sure if it also applies when tasks validate ok. Also, I've forgotten the number - maybe 100 per host? Do you run multiple projects per host? Could it be a resource share thing? While your computers are hidden it's not possible to know how many you're running per day, what your runtime is etc. If you have a machine with a lot of cores and short runtimes it <may> be possible you hit a limit. Something for you to check and adjust? |

Hello, Thank for your replies, Here is the host: https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/results.php?hostid=3813906 only 4 task since last project reset. It's my personal computer also used for work and gaming so boinc running only a few hours per day. I have set resource share at 100%, and set other project for this host to 'no more work' Perhaps a max task in progres per user? I have almost 1600 task in progress on other hosts. |

Hello, A 6-core machine with 16Gb ram, no other projects, only 4 tasks, all completed, yet no more tasks coming down? There shouldn't be any problem at all - not even close. Let's look for clues: Can you do a manual update and copy here from the event log exactly what it's telling you? Also, from Options/Computing preferences, on the Computing tab Usage limits - both 100% When to suspend - all unselected Others - the first 2 fields must total less than 1.5 And on the Disk & Memory tab, list what you've got set there under memory. Rosetta memory demands are high, though that shouldn't stop tasks coming down |

Are there also limits per user account? I see 387 hosts on this account. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

Are there also limits per user account? I see 387 hosts on this account. Also, almost all of those 387 hosts are on old versions of Boinc. /edit. Actually all 387 hosts are on Linux, and I don't even see the version of Boinc OP is running (7.9.3) listed as an option for download over at the main Boinc download page. |
