All three show "errors WU cancelled" on the workunits page of those tasks |

When it comes to validation errors (not computation errors or aborted jobs part run) a clean-up job runs once per day that awards credits to those tasks. I'm not sure if that gets shown in the summary list of tasks, or only when you go into each individual task's details As far as why they didn't validate, it's not clear from what we can see, but I seem to remember the info does get back to the project and the task does still provide useful data to them |

I'm not so interested in credits As far as why they didn't validate, it's not clear from what we can see, but I seem to remember the info does get back to the project and the task does still provide useful data to them I hope. If i'm not wrong validation error means no useful data for science... |

When it comes to validation errors (not computation errors or aborted jobs part run) a clean-up job runs once per day that awards credits to those tasks. I know, but it struck me the other day that I should say it out loud for the benefit of new arrivals who may not have known. I don't think it's been mentioned recently. As far as why they didn't validate, it's not clear from what we can see, but I seem to remember the info does get back to the project and the task does still provide useful data to them It certainly can mean that, but also it can be some result outside of an anticpated range. Whether that's useful to researchers is something they'll know and we won't. I think that may be why they do award credits retrospectively. |
