Yes, the name change would be apropo. Been slowly adding more and more cpu only projects. Now doing Rosetta, TN-Grid and Universe to keep my cpu cores busy.

So got around to the daily driver and remounted the cpu block with the new studs that allow the use of the stock AMD backplate again.  Much less fiddly than the original mounting.

I also was able to put back the back of socket 40mm fan, the old AMD socket trick, and mount the fan to the backplate with double sided foam sticky tape.

Used my new standard Kingpin Cooling KpX thermal paste.  Combination of the paste, remount and socket fan has dropped another 3-4° C. off my standard BOINC load temps.

Easy surgery, the whole evolution didn't take more than a little over a half hour.
