Sinds a couple of days all Rosetta work is in Upload pending state. Typically I see about 120 Files in this state a couple with (Upload retry (project backoff), the rest in Upload pending. But nothing moves.

How can I reactivate the project?

I am not aware of others having upload problems. But the BOINC Manager will automatically perform retries. You just need to make sure your machine has an active internet connection. It is possible to configure BOINC Manager to limit the internet usage by time-of-day or set bandwidth constraints. If you have modified the network settings in the BOINC Manager, you should review them to make sure they allow enough access to the internet.

I'm not aware of any issues with our servers but I'll double check with our sys admin to see what might be causing this for you.

Did your computer return results successfully and then ran into this issue all of the sudden recently?

Looking at both of your hosts, it looks like many tasks are reporting normally. But there are some other tasks that are getting stuck like this?

With nearly 6 million credits in 2 years, you certainly have seen a thing or two. If you are familiar with the cc_config, you can set the flag to collect the "file_xfer_debug", see info on the client configuration page.

This behaviour started a month or so ago, but that is guesswork on my side. I never gave BOINC much of a look it just ran.
After switching on file_xfer_debug what should I be seeing?

Looking at both of your hosts, it looks like many tasks are reporting normally. But there are some other tasks that are getting stuck like this?

With nearly 6 million credits in 2 years, you certainly have seen a thing or two. If you are familiar with the cc_config, you can set the flag to collect the "file_xfer_debug", see info on the client configuration page.


I see repeating attempts to upload the same files when I start and stop and start boinc.exe. Could someone explain what upload offset -1 means. Or what status 0 or file_size 0 in the data_server_reply mean? I assume a miscommunication between client and server.
