This morning (CET) I reported one of these in the "Stuck and aborted units" thread, but since I don't have to abort the wus, it may not be the right thread, so I've started this one. I have now got a new one on machine ID 177498 stderrae.txt: ***UNHANDLED EXCEPTION**** Reason: Access Violation (0xc0000005) at address 0x0038F114 read attempt to address 0x00000008 1: 03/16/06 13:49:20 1: SymGetLineFromAddr(): GetLastError = 126 stdoutae.txt: 2006-03-16 13:49:13 [rosetta@home] Sending scheduler request to https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta_cgi/cgi 2006-03-16 13:49:13 [rosetta@home] Reason: To fetch work 2006-03-16 13:49:13 [rosetta@home] Requesting 691 seconds of new work, and reporting 1 results 2006-03-16 13:49:18 [rosetta@home] Scheduler request to https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta_cgi/cgi succeeded 2006-03-16 13:49:19 [rosetta@home] Started download of hom017_1opd_.fasta.gz 2006-03-16 13:49:19 [rosetta@home] Started download of hom017_1opd_.psipred_ss2.gz 2006-03-16 13:49:21 [rosetta@home] Finished download of hom017_1opd_.fasta.gz 2006-03-16 13:49:21 [rosetta@home] Throughput 450 bytes/sec 2006-03-16 13:49:21 [rosetta@home] Started download of hom017_aa1opd_03_05.200_v1_3.gz Seems to be the download that triggers the problem. I have only seen this on the Pentium 4 machines at work, not on the AMD machines at home. /Ib |

I've had another one on 5309. That's it, I've had it with this project. If it can't be trusted to run the weekend over, without crashing, it's not for me. /Ib |

***UNHANDLED EXCEPTION**** That particular crash looks like a crash in boinc.exe not the Rosetta application - I've had the same crash a few times before, including on a host that isn't even running Rosetta. Host 5309 seems to be running BOINC 5.2.2 - have you tried upgrading the BOINC client? |
