Is it possible via app_config / app_info to run only one of the apps? I'd like to work on this project but it'd be also nice to work on the app I don't have that many hours on. I currently have the following app_config.xml " <app_config> <app_version> <app_name>rosetta</app_name> <avg_ncpus>1</avg_ncpus> </app_version> </app_config> " It did not stop the mini apps from running but maybe it'll only start regular ones? |

Is it possible via app_config / app_info to run only one of the apps? I think ... Rosetta will keep downloading all the apps. They don't have a knob to stop that but BOINC will allow you to limit the number executed. The problem will be the undesired minirosetta jobs piling up and filling your job queue. You might be able to play with the size of the job queue and extra work in the BOINC manager COMPUTING PREFERENCES tab so the unwanted jobs will just time out. It will cause extra network traffic, but you may be able to do what you want. I also added a second project with a 1% resource share to fill the gap. If you get a bunch of minirosetta, it would fill your queue and not be able to get more until the existing ones expire. This is a Rosetta server limitation. I don't know if zero will prevent any from executing. <app_config> <app> <name> minirosetta </name> <max_concurrent> 1 </max_concurrent> </app> </app_config> |
