Hello,

If it isn't already in the works, I would suggest implementing badges (not just the default BOINC badges). This is a great way to attract users! (Like me :) )

Thks

Badges for recognition of levels of work completed can be a positive recognition of work completed and machines committed. This is a form of positive feedback for volunteers who do not work for coins but only for science.

Thanks

Badges are a good idea. Goal orientated. For the OCD driven crowd like me. :)

What program are you using to create your badges display?

I agree - badges would make the project more attractive and could attract more processing power

+1
Again ~2 months or 1/6 of a year. Anyone would be happy to show off some protein badge I guess? Would be interested in a ballpark number of when volunteers could expect badges to be implemented? Still in 2020? What factors does it depend on? Do you need help in drafting the badges? Just tell us :)

That would include an honest and definitive answer (Yes or no) to badges. if you oppose to them and don’t want to implement them at all just tell us but don’t keep us in the dark, wondering and patiently waiting in anticipation of sth that might never come.

Keep crunching!

@James Rehkopf The badge display images you see in forums are generated by https://signature.statseb.fr/.

I would love some badges. They are a bit like video game achievements, showing you how much computing your PC has contributed to BOINC Projects over the years.

As a beginner with BOINC it's fun to see the badges display grow over time.
