OK, for some reason after a reboot for some problems I had to work on, BOINC stopped working. I have the same error though I have tried a reinstall and etc using 4.5 and also 5.2 with no better luck. It refuses to connect to the local host. Box is a Win Server 2k3 with SP1 on it that is also my domain controller and DNS server. Any ideas?

You might try the steps in this post It seemed to fix the problem for one guy. There is more in the rest of the thread, but the best advice is in the post linked above.

Phil

We Must look for intelligent life on other planets as,
it is becoming increasingly apparent we will not find any on our own.

Thanks! It didn't work but at least it gave me a few ideas. For some reason I don't see it on any of the ports.
