hi all,
i have a computer on my local area network that i want it to run a BOINC client. The thing is that that computer does not have any connection to the net. Is it possible that i download project data from a computer that does have a connection and attach the project to the computer with no internet connection?

Thanks in advance

I've read in other posts (probably under SETI project) that the work must be done on the machine that downloaded it. Perhaps you could use that computer for climate work?? And just use a dial-up connection once a month or so to send trickle up messages. Climate has really long deadlines, so that would be ideal in that sense, although it ALSO has very large downloads, so... maybe not :)

If you know enough about networking, you might be able to setup another computer in your network as a Proxy server, and use it to connect to this machine to the internet. Then it could do it's own internet access via the proxy.
