Hi Everyone and Season's Greetings! I just started Rosetta@home a few days ago and I am having a lot of work units report "client error" status in my results page. I am also running Boinc for Seti@home, Einstein@home and Predictor@home which are not having any problems at all. Here is a common error report message that I am seeing - "unrecoverable error for result 1hz6a_topology_sample_207_13656_1 (-exit code - 1073741819 (0xc0000005))"

Any ideas on what may be happening? I am running on my new machine, AMD Athalon 64 Dual Core with 1GB of RAM and everything else seems to be working perfectly.

Regards to all...

See these threads:

Please abort WUs with "DEFAULT_xxxxx_205_....
Question for developers - Does the New Versions on the 20Th have stuck at 1% fix?

In short, it's a known problem with batch 207 and you'll just have to let them error out (some work, some don't). Some people (like Scribe) have got 1/3 good and 2/3 bad WUs, whereas I've only got one so far.

Hi Everyone and Season's Greetings!

You too.

All I would add to Andrew's post is that some users are suspending Rosetta for a few days while the project team sort things out, others are sticking with it and accepting that this series of WU will error out.

You will do whichever feels right for you, but please don't judge Rosetta by this - you were unlaucky to join on a bad day, and after the hols the team are introducing new deeper testing systems to try to avoid this in future. See this thread for info on that.

River~~
