when I stop rosetta and boinc, with a 'suspend' and then exiting boinc to burn dvd's or something - most often when I restart boinc and rosetta after I'm done with the other task the work is terminated, results are sent (always short of the normal run time to completion) and new work units are started. This is with w2k, rosetta 5.59, boinc 5.8.16. I'm wondering how these work units can be credited when they get 'terminated' and results sent when they often are less than 1/2 completed. And why they don't continue from where they were stopped so they can finish normally??? |

Work units are made up of models. So, even if the work unit has not reached the target runtime, it has often completed several useful models. These are reported back and given credit, even if the current model that was in progress does not complete normally. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |
