The computer I am working on will shut down in a few days. How can I stop it without loosing the units that are selected for this comp?

Just Open the BOINC Manager, go to the projects tab, select Rosetta, and then click the "No new tasks" button. This let's it finish the work it has, but won't download any more until you click the button again when it will then say "allow new tasks".
