Hi
Running Linux Mint 22.1

I am crunching other projects atm but I still have about 50 Rosetta tasks that are "Ready to report"

The error that I see in the event log is "Server error: feeder not running"

How can I fix this?

Hi Sid

Sorry for the late reply.

I added the hosts to my /etc/hosts file and then clicked on "Update" to clear the Rosetta tasks. But there are still tasks sitting in my queue that are "ready to report".

I now get the following error in the event log:

Mon 21 Apr 2025 05:35:14 | Rosetta@home | Scheduler request to https://bwsrv1.bakerlab.org/rosetta_cgi/cgi failed: Couldn't connect to server
Mon 21 Apr 2025 05:35:15 | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site

Any ideas?

This looks like a server failure at their end which, glancing at your account now, seems to have corrected itself and everything's uploaded now.
Is that right?
Just a small temporary glitch, but on top of their other bigger problems it's bound to make you suspicious

Hi Sid

Unfortunately no, the "Ready to report" tasks are still sitting in the Tasks tab.

This is the info I get now..

Tue 22 Apr 2025 10:49:53 | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
Tue 22 Apr 2025 10:49:53 | Rosetta@home | Scheduler request to https://bwsrv1.bakerlab.org/rosetta_cgi/cgi failed: Couldn't connect to server
Tue 22 Apr 2025 10:49:55 | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.

So I think that server is still down. :-(

It's not still down as it never went down.
You need to make sure you have entered the details in the Hosts file correctly.

I only looked at the one PC you've got attached to Rosetta under your name here, which looks clear.
But I see you do a lot of work under lots of projects so maybe it's listed elsewhere we can't see.
Or maybe those tasks are so old, they've timed out, been reallocated, completed and aged out altogether. There's no way of telling.
As Grant rightly says, blips aside, the project servers are up, so worth double-checking your end first.
