Decided to restart BOINC after one of the long running i686 WU had ended, it ran for some 16 hours without making a single checkpoint. After the restart I got this message from BOINC Thu 16 Apr 2020 01:55:38 CEST | Rosetta@home | [error] App version has unsupported platform i686-pc-linux-gnu; changing to x86_64-pc-linux-gnu Thu 16 Apr 2020 01:55:38 CEST | Rosetta@home | [error] State file error: duplicate app version: minirosetta x86_64-pc-linux-gnu 378 Thu 16 Apr 2020 01:55:38 CEST | Rosetta@home | [error] App version has unsupported platform i686-pc-linux-gnu; changing to x86_64-pc-linux-gnu Thu 16 Apr 2020 01:55:38 CEST | Rosetta@home | [error] State file error: duplicate app version: rosetta x86_64-pc-linux-gnu 415 Thu 16 Apr 2020 01:55:38 CEST | World Community Grid | [error] App version has unsupported platform i686-pc-linux-gnu; changing to x86_64-pc-linux-gnu Thu 16 Apr 2020 01:55:38 CEST | World Community Grid | [error] State file error: duplicate app version: mcm1 x86_64-pc-linux-gnu 743 Wonder if that's a good or bad message... |

Interestingly, your Linux Mint host has completed a few of the i686 WUs normally. But most were ended by the watchdog, and most without ever producing their first model. Your other hosts are Windows, where we don't seem to see the problem. Suggest you abort the i686 WUs. Hopefully others can offer ideas on why this cc_config solution doesn't seem to be working for you. Keeping in mind that we're only talking about Linux systems here, are others seeing i686 WUs assigned after having loaded with <no_alt_platform>1</no_alt_platform> in the cc_config? Decided to restart BOINC after one of the long running i686 WU had ended, it ran for some 16 hours without making a single checkpoint. Have you set no_alt_app to 1 since you last restarted Boinc? I imagine that would do it. |

Yes have <no_alt_platform>1</no_alt_platform> in cc_config But after restarting BOINC it has deleted the rosette x86_64 app and all rosesta 4.15 work is now run by the i686 app. It should be the other way I assume... As suggested I deleted all i686 WUs but BOINC just downloaded new i686 WUs... btw it HAS deleted the mini rosetta i686 app and leaving the mini rosetta x86_64 app. |

The list of the newly downloaded WUs is listed as x86_64 work, but since BOINC has deleted that app, they are run by the i686 app. |

Did some experiments... I was running a special BOINC version from SETI, triede going back to v7.14.2 which didn't help. I then copied a backed up copy of the x86_64 apps back to the rosetta folder and edited client_state.xml to replace the i686 info with x86_64, didn't help and BOINC deleted all 4.15 WUs... Set a low cache and allowed new work, got 2 x86_64 WUs, so seems to work now. |

Yes have <no_alt_platform>1</no_alt_platform> in cc_config Well that’s likely to explain the messages, the i686 apps are no longer valid and the system is tidying up but I can’t explain the rest. |
