	Sorry if this is the wrong thread or a problem with my computer instead of v1.82. Had another problem with a WU, 2.87% done after 6 hours, and no progress for the 45 minutes I watched it. Probably the 6th time it's happened since I rejoined the project a couple weeks ago. These WU won't abort by themselves, wasting CPU cycles until I check BOINC and abort them. Like I say this might be a problem with my computer, but it doesn't happen with any other project. The research you're doing is great, but i'm suspending the project for now. I'll keep checking back with the new versions to see if the problem persists, but I had the same thing happen last Decemberish when I suspended it the first time, and it seems the updates since then haven't fixed it for me. Best of luck with the project, I hope I can contribute in the future. ____________

	I've been experiencing some issues with Minirosetta on 3 computers for quite some time. With no resolution, I had detached those computers from the project. Recently with release of 1.82 I decided to try the project again one computer and the problems continue. 	Got a validate error out of this one frb_0_8_mike_chosen_intersection_new_hb_t367__IGNORE_THE_REST_1UFBA_4_13877_13_1. Was granted only 4 credits for a fast run with 99 models. Only 1201 seconds run time! Something like 12 models a second?

( 1.82 worked before) While greg be might be correct and you've just had a bit of bad luck with bad batches of tasks it's worth noting that quite a few of your failed tasks have been completed successfully by others. It may be possible that that some tasks only fail on a particular OS (Linux in your case)but it might be worth following Jorden's advice here and testing your memory.

	For several weeks this messages shows up a lot: Restarting [name-of-task] using minirosetta version 182 Task [name-of-task] exited with zero status but no 'finished' file If this happens repeatedly you may need to reset the project. After about half an hour of this, Rosetta seems to move on to another task, but memory is not freed. The hanging processes can be deleted manually using Process Explorer. Resetting the project does not keep the problem from returning. This problem happens on one of my Vista Home Premium systems, a laptop with an Intel Core2 Dual P7350 processor, but not on the other computer, a desktop with an Intel Core2 Quad Q8200 processor. The operating temperature of the problem laptop computer sometimes creeps up near the published CPU limit of 90degC. It is controlled by a fan blowing across the laptop and by restricting Rosetta CPU usage to 70%. Could hardware stress explain this problem?

	I'm currently unable to upload some of the output files for these three 1.82 workunits, which makes it difficult to get a view of whether those workunits completed without error. Hours and hours of Problem uploading the results of a finished task, then downloads for a new minirotetta 1.86 started, but either the expected database file was 0 bytes, or there was a signature error. By the way, there was no note on the homepage, that minirosetta had been updated to Rev. 1.86. I just hope that the site wasn't hacked... And today, I got not one new task, neither in the office nor at home. Strange... rosetta seems to be on vacancy :-) ____________

	alpha, the .58GB is your overall BOINC preference. Which is then possibly divided across several projects. But the actual failure message is specific to the task. The tasks have a failsafe which kicks in if abnormally large amounts of output are being produced. This appears to be what caused the task to end... odd then that it would say the file was absent. 	most of 1.88 wu failed at start up, only 1 on my pc (linux) is working I have 1 1.87 wich try to upload but can't. There is very difficult to download new wu but also same difficult to upload when wu has successfully ended: can't link to server (lot of http error ) ____________

	Multiple errors, Can't download tasks PC that processes 1/hr has only gotten 1 in 24 hrs. Slower Mac none. ____________

	Sorry about these errors. A lot of the errors (especially the disulfide ones) are due to the jobs submitted a while ago that need the new flags from the latest update. And after the reversion, those jobs are no longer valid. Our file server is a bit hammered right now, so it's hard to change those job status as well. We have found the bug that causes the slowing down of the code though, and we have tested the bug fix on our alpha server. Thus we are updating the program. Massive network traffic is still expected due to the version update. Hopefully everything will be stabilized in a few days.

Wu's are not mentioned in the error reports above. Be aware: it is sometimes difficult to download new Wu's. Good luck, Path7.

	Here are some more with the same error. That's 7 from the last time and 3 more for a total of 10 tasks that crashed with 0 time.
