Retyping this as I shut the damn window before posting it - Doh!

If anyones considering installing ubuntu and crunching boincs on it here's a quick "how to"

DONT install via Applications-ADD/Remove

Go into the System tab and select "Synaptic"

Screenshot 1

Click the "search" tab and enter Boinc

Screenshot 2

Tick both the "Boincs Client and the Boinc-Manager" box and then click the "Apply" button at the top which is ghosted on mine as I haven't selected anything for install. The boxes are also green on my screenshot because I already have it installed.

Screenshot 3

I haven't selected Seti because I'm not interested in that. Rosetta will be found inside the clinet once it's installed.

When installation is complete your'll find the Boinc client lives in Applications - Accessories

Screenshot 4

Run the application and select Whichever project you want to attach to.

Hope that all helps.
