I understand R@h is hungry on resources how much L3 cache does she need per core?

Nothing needs L3 cache; it’s an optimisation. And L3 cache is typically not allocated per core; it’s shared.

In my recent observation, tasks are allocating anything from 300 to 3000, and averaging around 700, MB of memory each. No CPU’s L3 cache comes close to that size. Given the wide variety of hardware on which Rosetta might be running, it seems unlikely it has any expectations about, or specific requirements for, cache sizes.
