I run F@H and want to continue with that, can I run Rosetta@home with it. How much PC use time do I need for Rosetta@home? TIA for any help with this as I don't want to run my PC on the thin side. |

Do you use the boinc client for f@h or the standalone program? An AMD is running about 2h and a Intel HT about 4h (3-3,2GHZ). At the beginning of crunching you need 36MB RAM for one WU, in the middle 107MB RAM, at the end 160MB RAM. |

He could well be running the BOINC version there was a recruitment drive by F@H mentioned 2-3 months ago on the BOINC Alpha Test site The F@H beta is currently holding until the new 5.2.x client is released, and has been for some time. I expect a public beta soon after the version 5 client is release, but that is just a guess not backed up by any official data. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |
