My girlfriend has multiple sclerosis. I want to support the research for this desease. Does Rosetta@home support the research?

Thank you very much!

As does my fiance, and I would like to know this as well. And if not, I'd like to know if there is research using BOINC that does?

AFAIK, R@H is developing strategies to better accurately predict the 3D structures of proteins, which is usually done thru time and money consuming processes. Doing this computationally and accurately would revolutionize how things are done.

This is a really "basic" component of modern biology. It's like developing a better and stronger microscope. It doesn't necessarily "attack" a disease in particular, but rather facilitates the development of new treatments for whatever disease you can think of.

For example, there was a project over at WCG, which used the Rosetta software to study a disease in particular.

IMO, by helping R@H, you are in a way, helping everything (at least everything regarding proteins).
