I have created an account, reviewed my profile, heck I can even review my statistics on my bloody cell phone. But what I can not find on the rosetta@home site is the bloody Project URL so I can attach to the project using my BOINC client.

I'm trying to attach Rossetta with version 5.2.8, and after I enter the proper URL it asks me for a Proxy configuration???? How do I get past this? It won't let me just click next to get past it.

The project url is https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta. Welcome to the project!

Hi.

Try to reboot your computer after installing Boinc and before you connect to a project. That helped on two of my computers where I got that proxy configuration-screen.
Greetings from Norway.

Ok, now I understand what I did wrong. I was trying to use the Project->Attach to Project create account feature.

Who dreamed this one up. You need the project URL which will be sent to you in an email only after you enter the project URL to create an account so the email can be sent. Talk about dumb.

Did someone work hard at making BOINC first time user hostile? I sat a few people down in front of BOINC and asked them to connect to a project for the first time. All three failed to figure it out what to enter as the project URL. The http://boinc.berkeley.edu/ list of projects does not help.

Between that and configuring proxy settings this has got to be scaring a great number of potential users away.
