Sorry Ändy. I didn't realize it would count all of the lost tasks (from when you reset the project) against you. The BOINC client will take care of this. Once you complete work successfully, then you are allowed more. You are also allowed more after 24hrs. Then things should be back to normal.

For every unit you return successfully you can get two in return, for every bad one you lose one unit. So if you return 4 good ones today, tomorrow you should be able to get 8 units, then 16 units, etc etc. This was done to prevent bad machines from endlessly getting units that they are just not crunching properly. It is a Boinc thing, not a project thing. Sounds like you just got caught in the too wide web, time is your friend in this though.

Actually, the number doubles upon each successful return. So you could double the number every 3 hours if that is how long you are running tasks. Not sure how it is handled with 4 CPUs. By tomorrow, (i.e. 24hrs elapsed time) you'll get up to 100 more, per CPU, whether you have returned anything or not.

If I'm limited to 1 task per, and have 4 running tasks, then return 1 completed task, what is the result? I think that would then let me get 2 more at least (or maybe 2 per CPU = 8?). And then return another 1 completed task, and I think I'd be able to get 4, per CPU = 16 more.

I see that as of now the machine's limit is back to the 100 per CPU normal.

I'll defer your question on credits to the thread that discusses the system.

Basically, some models take longer then others. If you are lucky and get more easy models for a task, you get more credit then claimed. If not, you get less. Credit is not a perfect measure of anything. But we're all under the same credit system, and there is not way to really know in advance what is going to prove easy, and what hard. So when we compare to each-other, we're all using the same numbers and system as the basis for comparison.
