I know this probably isn't a project priority (!) but I do want to report that I seem not to be able to replace my profile picture with a new one.

The new one is on my desktop. It's a JPEG format and only 24 KB and 200 by 200 pixels. It seems like it is permitting me to select the image file from my desktop, but it does not update my profile picture with the new image.

It seems that I am not even able to delete my current profile picture.

Or - is there some window of time that has to run before a new profile picture becomes effective? Is there a window of time before the profiles database is updated, or to permit the moderator(s) to see and accept a new profile picture?

I have a Mac mini with the Intel Core architecture, running MacOS X and the Safari browser.

I just revisited my Rosetta@home profile page, and much to my surprise, the profile picture was updated to the new one that I wanted.

Hi rinselberg,

looks like the image you kept on seeing was saved in your temporary files. A lot of info is not updated when you revisit a web site to save resources/bandwidth and it looks like your system did not notice the changed image. That often happens and results in seemingly unchanged info while in fact the altered page/site/image is visible to first-time viewers immediately.

Regards,

Christoph
