I created an account a few months ago, and did not receive a confirming email with my account key. I have tried sevaral times to log in and cannot because I don't have a key. Now when I try and create another account, the system says an account already exists with my email address. I would like to participate in this program, but I need a key. If someone would send me this authorization, I will get started. thanks... |

Since you can log in. Your ISP is probably blocking your e-mail from the project. 1) Go to Yahoo or hotmail and create an email account there. 2) Once you have it set up, Go to your preferences page at Rosetta. 3) Select Change e-mail address, and change your e-mail to the new account. 4) It should send the information to that account for verification and you can then send it to your regular account from there. 5) Once you have the info, you can change your email back again. HOWEVER! Since you are logged in you obviously have a valid ID and password. Why not simply use the BOINC project attach function, and when it asks for the ID information, check the box for "Use existing account", and enter your e-mail address and password. They are the same for you posting account and your working account. Moderator9 ROSETTA@home FAQ Moderator Contact |
