Had an odd one this morning when I woke up. Seems to have started with this work unit. (My computer ID is 3214.)

It looks as though I completed a WU that no one else was able to...afterwards, however, my computer simply stopped communicating with the project. No attempts at downloading new work, wasn't even attempting communication according to the log.

I'm not in 'panic mode', as LHC ran out of work and I only have Predictor, SETI, and Rosetta running now...Predictor and SETI were finishing work, uploading and downloading with no problems.

Tried a manual update...no joy.

Only a complete project reset seemed to resolve it, as I now have a new WU to crunch.

Bottom line, I guess, is that the issue is resolved for me...just wondering if anyone else has seen this type of behavior.

(edited to remove redundant information...that's what I get for posting before coffee)

Did you look at (or have a means to) what the long and short term debts were? This usually answers questions like this.

Well, the logs are long since gone...but if I remember correctly, I had a two Predictors and one SETI unit standing by when the Rosetta unit finished. Predictor and SETI continued to run, finish, upload, and download new work with no hitches for seven or eight hours, while Rosetta wasn't even attempting to connect.

Since it hasn't happened again, and given the absence of responses to this post, I'm guessing that it was an isolated quirk. Everything's running fine now, at least. <shrug>
