Message 90028 - Posted: 19 Dec 2018, 6:51:40 UTC

I joined Rosetta on December 15, four days ago. Since that time, my computer has completed 14 tasks which were validated. Only 4 of those were Rosetta v4.07.and 10 were Rosetta Mini v3.78 tasks. But it also reported 11 Rosetta Mini v3.78 tasks as errors while computing.

So my questions: Are errors common with Rosetta Mini v3.78? That means almost half of my computer's efforts of the past four days were in error.

Not a very good start with this project. Is it a data problem, or is there something amiss with my settings? Can I fix this or is it endemic to Rosetta Mini v3.78?

Any help would be appreciated.

I found that I need to go into BOINC Manager, go to the Options Menu > Computing Preferences then go to the Disk and Memory tab. You will see an option to Leave non-GPU tasks in memory while suspended. Check that box.

That reduced the compute errors for me.
Thx!

The Preference " Leave non-GPU tasks in memory...." is one Option and it will work, yes.
But please also read this Tread

OK, did that. We'll see what happens.

Thanks.

While the advice you've been given is good, I had a quick glance at your failed tasks and can see the following error messages:

I don't know why this is - someone else may suggest a more definite solution. Perhaps excluse the Boinc directories from antivirus checks?
