"I am a jerk. I complete knee bitter." (That was paraphrased from Douglas Adams.) Now that detail is out of the way. I am a mechanical engineer. These days I work for a construction equipment company. I designed equipment for work trucks. Before that I developed equipment and conveniences farm equipment. I have started a new hobby. I recycle second hand and discarded computer equipment to make home entertainment centers, home data servers, and they will all run BOINC in my home.
I like the idea of helping people. That is why I run Rosetta@home. I also run did support SETI because to quote Eric Idle, "It's bugger all down here on planet Earth." I hope that by lending computer support to different services on BOINC that I can help make the lives of other people better. |
