Your personal background.
Hi, I'm a computer tech from New Jersey. I spend all day fixing computers, so when I get home I tend to not want to use my computer. Luckily there are plenty of things to keep it's processor cores busy while I'm watching TV or riding my motorcycle.

I first participated in a distributed computing project back in 1998 with distributed.net's RC5-64 project.

For a while I hadn'tt been running any distributed programs, but over the winter it was pretty cold in our shop at work (the heat doesn't ever seem to reach the room we work on the computers in), and I figured that if we had some of the computers in the shop running at 100% CPU load they might help warm us up a bit. So while looking for something to load the processors I came across Rosetta and figured that I might as well help with some reasearch while turning the computers into space heaters.
Your opinions about Rosetta@home
I like the idea of contributing to science and helping out.
