I'm a 50++ former AF Huey pilot, now tech geek. And yes, that's a big leap from those old helicopters -- distributing lift across multiple rotor blades -- to now -- distributing compute resources across multiple 'compute blades'.
I've been a database administrator at several employers -- living in unix for both work and home. Running a hackintosh for my home computer; a Mac mini running Centos 7; and a few raspberry pi projects.
Your opinions about Rosetta@home
I was running a BOINC (google it) World Community Grid project on mapping cancer markers, but with the COVID19 outbreak, I saw Rosetta@home had created a project for it. So I switched to it and happened to see I could join the USAF team.
