Just now at 23.10 PST I am watching 5 WUs D/load on BOINC Manager. But 'MY Account' shows 15 WUs waiting to run. BOINC Manager was empty [for Rosetta] for several hours, until current D/Loads were started on dial up. It would be impossible for 15 WUs to D/L on dial up in the time I have been on line currently, also this CPU was switched off from about 6PM until 9.50 PST, so there was no chance of a sneak attack. Just a thought, but noticed that I had not logged out of 'My Account' from last time I looked there at around 7am PST today and there were not 15 WUs showing then!

BOINC Manager shows 1 WU running and 4 waiting. Someone needs to have a look at my account. Last Reset {yesterday} there were NO WUs outstanding in BOINC Manager. Getting bored with Ghost WUs.

Most WUs show 'error' of one sort or another but some WUs appear to have to run to normal finish but do not show Random Seed. Are WUs without the Random Seed any good?

I phoned my ISP helpline just now and apparently the local dial up numbers are faulty. I have now switched dial up numbers to another local location and got through straight away, previously there has been great trouble getting and keeping the connection. It could have been that the faulty line was the cause of my not receiving the WUs sent.Will just have to wait and see [ fingers crossed].

And still the ghosts come! Boinc Manager shows 8 WUs with deadline of Jan 3 06 My Account- shows 13. If anyone is looking the times according to -My account- are 8 14.48.40 UTC 1 6.32.13 3 3.25.03 1 0.41.42 Dare not check other dates. I will be so pleased when and if this problem is resolved!!

Previous advised 'Ghosts' are slowly going into the red. There also seem to be more WUs listed in My Account with pending date of 31 Dec than there are outstanding in BOINC Manager, but I have returned some today so maybe they have not registered yet. Currently running 5.2.13

My Account - results. shows 4 Wus with time reported or deadline of Dec15. BUT BOINC Manager shows just 11 WUs with deadline Dec 11 [1 running as I type] and 5 WUs with deadline Dec 14. Can someone please help. I am on dial-up but always without fail check messages in case any WUs are being sent before I close the connection.

(Message 3440) Posted 16 Nov 2005 by Golden Turtle Post: On -My Account-I can see on checking back that I have O/s WUs with 'time reported or deadline' as: Dec 12 = 15 Dec 10 = 10 Dec 9 = 12 Dec 7 = 7 Dec 5 = 5 Dec 3 = 13 Dec 1 = 25 But on BOINC Manager the only Wus outstanding are for deadline of Dec 11 2005. Have these Wus been received and returned as finished and not recorded or are they the infamous 'ghosts'? On BOINC Manager 'Projects' is set at "Wont get new work since this morning Dec16 Pacific time.
