Posted 14 Nov 2005 by borandi Post: Hope your not running it on the University Computers ;) I'm trying to get hold of some of the computers in the basement of the chemistry building. Unfortunately most have been registered with comp services and they want to decommision them. Our computer lecturer recons there is at least one or two which escaped through their net. Heh I know that comp services would refuse outright to run boinc as a service installation around the campus. 'Too much of a security threat'... psh.... We in the computer society had a rough time allowing them to let the uni network onto the ComSoc's IRC channel. Just a thought, but if we were able to set up a BOINC/Seti society in the union, what's the possibility of the union giving us some money to 'acquire' machines? |

Posted 13 Nov 2005 by borandi Post: Hi all! Ok been running Rosetta@Home for almost a week now with my team: http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/team_display.php?teamid=692 I'm the only member, with 100+ credits. Yet the total team credit seems to be only 6? For the first few days and WUs nothing seemed to be added to the team total (so this isnt a cast of a 94 credit WU just finished). I was assuming the total credit followed a formula like: function TotalCredit(){ for(i=1,i<=members.length,i++) { SumOfCreditFromMembers=+member[i].credit } } Well, just asking - and learning JavaScript/C. |
