1) Message boards : Number crunching : Errors? (Message 87443)

Seems to vary by machine - on the laptop every task was failing, but on my desktop it was intermittent, some would work. I rolled back to Boinc 7.6.33 and the errors appear to have gone away now. Rosetta isn't using virtualbox as far as I know.

I've used both versions of BOINC recently and my Intel iGPU's were running fine on both, at least for SETI tasks.

I noticed a little while ago that I'm getting compute error failures on most of the rosetta units my two machines are trying to run. The machines are quite different, one is a laptop on Win10 and the other a desktop on Win7. Is something going on with the work units themselves? I looked at several of the failed units and they all appear to be "access violations". I can't think of much these two machines have in common that would produce the same error on both. Other Boinc projects are running OK.

Yes, but I only started a few weeks ago. There was a large performance gain on ATLAS@home tasks when I installed boinc on my SSD. Apparently my HDD read/write rates weren't fast enough to fully utilize the processor.
