Rosetta won't use 2 cpus on Linux
(Message 18256)
Posted 9 Jun 2006 by rcbutcher Post: I have a AMD 64 dual core 3800 CPU running Linux from a CD (Knoppix) with 512 meg RAM, on a diskless box using a networked hard drive for work unit storage. I run Rosetta, Simap, Predictor, QMC, BBC, all with max cpus set to 2. I find that all these BOINC programs quite happily run together (i.e. use both cpus) except Rosetta - If Rosetta gets scheduled with any of the other BOINC programs it just idles while the other runs. Known issue or am I doing something wrong ? cheers Rod in Sydney |
