Problems with Rosetta version 5.80
(Message 46340)
Posted 16 Sep 2007 by Rolly Post: I also noticed a first failure on my system, Result 105943441. It seems the unit also hung somewhere during computation. I was surpsised that this non Capri unit is also using the Beta core, I understand using the Beta core for a competition on rosetta@home bur for less urgent workunits I would think it to be better to first test it on ralp? |

CASP refinement
(Message 22525)
Posted 16 Aug 2006 by Rolly Post: I was also very pleased to read Dr. Baker his update! It was just meant as a reminder that the flow of information was not as good as we started of with. But as I also mentioned I am crunchin Rosetta 24/7 again, I will at least keep this up till the end of August to help the CASP refinement as much as possible. And thanks for your information and answers as well of course. |

CASP refinement
(Message 22416)
Posted 13 Aug 2006 by Rolly Post: Today I started receiving WU's named FRA_t368_CASPR_*. It seems to me they are part of the CASP refinement experiment, an extention to the modelling already performed within regular CASP. The first thing I have done is suspending CPDN, which I had restarted after finishing my last CASP workunit. What is lacking is information from the Baker Labs. Of course I understand that everybody is working like crazy to get the science done and I am more than willing to provide my cpu-cycles. However the project started with almost daily updates from David Baker, which now arrive less than once a week. This task has not been taken over by any other staff-member of the group. I feel sorry for this, as this lessens the bond I feel with the project. I plead with the Bakerlab to strenghten the provision of information for the chrunching community, starting with some information on our participaption in the CASP-refinement. Greetings, Jorn |

CASP WUs past CASP deadline
(Message 21939)
Posted 6 Aug 2006 by Rolly Post: These new "Follow up" workunits seem to be an evaluation of how CASP went. For t314 the native structure has been released, that is the structure determined to be correct. You can see this in the visualisation of the workunit. Because the native structure is now known the client calculates both the energy of the found low energy structure and deviation compared to the native structure. The deviation is calculated as RMSD, lower is better. |
