They are fully aware that this is another stolen team as it is well known now, and is common knowledge on their own "Space Family" forum. "Daniel Stach (Hadra)" Has a Rosetta ID number of 132178 "Gabriel" has a number of 265543 Waiting to see what the Rosetta admins do once the weekend is over ?

This temporary user name will not show up in the stats, but will still have an Account and all of its facilities and still be able to restart already stolen teams like THIS one that Barbar has recently restarted. This team had its members thrown out and nearly 2 million points stolen. Ooooo "MIZ" just left that team. I wonder why ? :-) "MIZs" ID number is 265885 here at Rosetta BTW. "Barbar" is 46396. And the stolen team ID number is 1601

Post: If you look HEREand click on "Space Family" on the left for each project, then have a look at the team movements in each project on the next page, you can see where team members have been kicked out by Barbar and his cronies on each project and which teams "Barbar" "MIZ" "Roman" etc have been jumping back and forth between. If you hold your mouse over those members names their team ID numbers become visible. These are not the only teams though that they have hijacked on all of the projects. These are only the ones that they have currently renamed to "Space Family". There are more that have been "parked" with a temporary user name with no registered computers on each project,(in other words , he has hijacked more than one on the same project), so that if they are discovered and the team given back to its original members, he just restarts a second stolen team that was "parked" before like the one that they have here at Rosetta at the moment. Edit: There are a few of those "Space family" teams that are legit too BTW, but some are stolen.

They are hijacking teams all over BOINC projects and need to learn a lesson. They need to learn that it is the Science that is important and the points are for fun and is what keeps teams interested in building better crunching machines and competing in a friendly manner. If this is not dealt with properly, it will tarnish the name of distributed computing and BOINC , Rosetta and any other projects that Barbar and his cronies get away with this at. Barbar isn't the only one in his 'team' that does this.

We had members of the Teddies still contributing and Barbar threw them off the team. Are you saying that you want to be fair with Barbar, who is doing this all over lots of different BOINC projects ? The Teddies have never known Barber till this scam he is operating. You need to sort this now.

This needs rectified and the hole closed. I want to know what someone with some authority here at Rosetta has got to say about all of this and what they are going to do to sort it out ?

We want this rectified as soon as possible. We still had some members contributing here, although most were not. One more thing. If this person takes over a team and then becomes founder, does this mean he had access to the members he 'dumped' from the original teams email addies before they were 'dumped' if that option was checked in preferences, or is it only available through the Rosetta admins ?

Post: The team founder was definitely none of the "Space Family" people, who now have our team ID number. We dont know who any of them are ? I still have links in favourites in my browser that used to lead to the "Teddies" team here at Rosetta. They now lead to "Space family" ? I have an old BOINC stats chart here too that shows "Teddies" in the title and has our team ID in the file name.

Tomorrow I will be giving a presentation on some medical related stuff for my study. and I would like to know if these two have something related as I would like to know if I can mention things like Rosetta@home that might be able to cure Hormone Diseases. A person I care for takes a drug, which reduces the amount of estrogen within the body, by binding with the aromatase enzyme, which in turn stops androgen converting to estrogen. As estrogen is a hormone which can affect certain breast cancers that are estrogen receptor positive types, causing tumours to grow, it is important to limit estrogen in people with these types. These estrogen receptors are themselves protein molecules. This is one link that I know of between hormones and proteins. I'm sure there are many, many more.

But I would just like clarification on some things from Jose first... Under the old credit system, would it have been unethical to change the XML files to claim more credit? Would that have been considered cheating? Was it always correct to grant what was claimed, or was there times when it crossed some sort of line and became cheating? If so, what was that line? Well Saenger is altering his XML files. He said so only a few days ago on another forum. BTW, team "SETI.Germany top scorer, position number 1." Oh look, he is using 5.5. Did'nt bother looking at the rest.
