2) Questions and Answers : Unix/Linux : WU's fail with several error codes (Message 45723) Posted 3 Sep 2007 by skildude Post: I stopped running Rosetta on my Mandriva linux box. Seems that if the WU switched from R@H to seti and back it would hang on the WU. It wouldnt recognize that it had hung and would sit there for hours idling. I caught 1 WU that had sat for at least 24 hours. This kind of problem is intolerable. I have the machine to intentionally do this type of thing and Get shafted because the Program isnt smart enough to continue or quit a WU. I still have Rosetta running on my Windows boxes but will wait for fix from Rosetta on this
3) Message boards : Number crunching : Problems with Rosetta version 5.67 (Message 41740) Posted 2 Jun 2007 by skildude Post: I had a problem on my Linux Mandriva Free 2k7 with the gp04 and now had a problem with this WU http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/result.php?resultid=82785184 It got to 67% completed and froze. I checked my processes and the Rosetta process was on but not using any CPU. I restarted BOINC and allowed the WU tos sit for several hours like this and finally aborted it.
4) Questions and Answers : Getting started : No work from project (Message 8700) Posted 10 Jan 2006 by skildude Post: If you are running other projects BOINC thinks it doe not need the work and based on the debt of each project it will work what it has until the evens out, or you have a connection problem.... not so. the projects on my PC's are set to run a specified % of the time in this case Rosetta is set to run 35% of the time and seti the other 65%. I just can't get any work. My boinc process updates with Rosetta but doesn't attempt to d/l any work.

I haven't gotten a WU from Rosetta in almost 3 days. Attempted the connnect to server but boinc says its "not requesting any new work" What the .... Thats the reason I am trying to connect. Is there a valid reason why my client won't D/L more wrk for rosetta
