1) Message boards : Number crunching : Problems and Technical Issues with Rosetta@home (Message 110128) Posted 6 Dec 2024 by spelger Post: the hosts file hack seems to no longer work. that address (128.95.160.135) stopped working for me last night. seems that rosetta is now a dead project. good thing WCG still has work for a while. edit: funny, last night i was using 128.95.160.156 and had the same symptom. pinging the server gave me the above addr which does not work. now trying 128.95.160.156 again it works. wonky.

3) Message boards : Rosetta@home Science : 10 reasons I crunch R@H and you should too (Message 73291) Posted 17 Jun 2012 by spelger Post: first off, i don't care about credits, compared to most of you mine are pretty dismal. all i really care about is doing something to benefit someone else. i started out doing seti back in the late 90's or early 00's, cant remember really. i've considered dumping that project and going all rosetta. something keeps steering me over there though. i probably should go 80/20 (rosetta/seti). scott
