22) Message boards : Rosetta@home Science : Is Ibercivis now doing some related work? (Message 63586)

I've noticed that Ibercivis is now offering some workunits that look like they might be related to Rosetta@home work.

9/13/2009 11:26:04 AM ibercivis Starting 1bm7_gridmaps.7z__ZINC00561766_1252788903_amldb2_1
9/13/2009 11:26:07 AM ibercivis Starting task 1bm7_gridmaps.7z__ZINC00561766_1252788903_amldb2_1 using amldb2 version 453

This one appears to be related to zinc, and the application name used suggests it is also related to amyloids:

amiloide-pruebas 4.53

I can't read Spanish or Portuguese well enough to tell if they say whether there's any relationship, but it looks like there's enough chance of one that I thought I'd ask you instead.

Hi
I also week in two languages above and I also run ibercivis.
According to starting code 1bm7 you can read some info here: http://www.ebi.ac.uk/thornton-srv/databases/cgi-bin/pdbsum/GetPage.pl
It seems to be human prot. could be in connection with the disease called amyloidosis (accumulation of undegradable proteins in various tissues). I couldn't find any metal in the protein structure, but I'm not an expert. Probably, they trying out some metal comp. enzyme or ligand on this stuff?

So, the "active WUs" slowly melted in "Results" pages, I suppose for all users due to no updates since 16.09.2009.
It looks like, that most of users are interested in credits, but not in results.

Also it will be fine to have some short basic infos about the WUs proteins like it is described in Rosetta@home Active Work Unit(s) Log (ie 1bm8, 1elw and so on). Some of the WUs can be identified, but lots of them not. There is no update on this page since January 2008 too.

Hi all,

For me decreasing CPU time from 100% to 90% solve the problem with constant errors (MR 1.97, Win XPSP3). Not had result from resetting, detaching, un- and installing (BOINC).

Thanks for idea

Hi all

Be patient with this WUs. Altough there is no visible progression or regular grafic activity (initalizing---), they will finish after some hours. I have only 732 MB of RAM and it runs out when my host wasn't idle, but it seems to be enough.

There are WUs in another project with similar behavior.
On the other hand I have 2 hosts. On first resetting solved the problem with app 1.97, on second still have only comp errors only after resetting, detaching and reinstalling boinc (rep. install). Same op system (win xp sp3) and near the same week hardware. Ideas?

I think,I "solve" the mystery: there is a delay between the WUs and results, some days, even a week. Hurray!

Thanks for help Path7

I still belive, that those results not mine.
There are more than 100 predictions, I have only 23 or something.
I copied out some WUs from hosts task list:
lr5_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_2vik
lr10_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1elw
lr10_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1zd0
lr10_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1wit
lr8_B_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1tif
lr8_B_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_2fls
lr8_B_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1wdv
abinitio_withrelax_homfrag_129_B_1pgx
lr8_B_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_2apb
lr13_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1ew4
lr10_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1cg5
lr8_B_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1c9o
lr8_B_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1who
lr10_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_2i1u
lr8_B_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1ubi
lr8_B_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1vkk
lr8_B_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1wd6
lr10_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1fna
lr5_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_4icb
lr5_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1rki

In the results showed, there is no WUs starting with lr10 and this abinitio (I remember it)...
The list:
lr8_B_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1ubi_
lr8_B_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1c9o_
lr8_B_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_2apb_
lr8_B_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1wd6_
lr8_B_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1who_
lr8_B_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1vkk_
lr5_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1rki_
lr5_combine_mods_run01_rlbd_1u5z_ this I haven't upper
lr5_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_2vik_
lr13_seq_score12_ss5.0_rlbd_1ew4_

By the way, you have much more impressive list of results, congrat!.

I think this thread not really matter, I just worried about the guy got mine puny results in exchange...:)

Hi
Now the spirit in the box done some work with the results, great thanks. But I suppose they are not mine. There are app. double number of results showed there (by the way quite few at all, I'm rookie). Or I missed something.

Hi

"Sorry, the data requested does not exist." message when I tried to view my results. Similar result when using the link from home and from account. Login/logout tried.
Old problem again?
Global issue or only my account sick?

With regards
