its because theres no aarch64/ARM64 build and it seems that newer Android versions will crash/error

All of my hosts, such as 6286328 (Android 12), report "ABI: arm64-v8a" to the projects (as registered by BOINC); CPU-z reports aarch64. I do agree, though that there will be some difference between each OS version; in practice it appears to result in my Android 9 and Android 12 devices being the only ones to currently return any valid work

I was lucky enough to download 17 tasks from the recent batch last night, but 8 of them crashed within 3 seconds, all with "process exited with code 2 (0x2, -254)" and "no such file or directory".

The only noticable difference (on my end) is the ones that crashed were on an Android 15 phone and tablet, and the ones that are still running are on Android 12 & 9 phones.

(EDIT: This is with the default/manufacturer-installed OS on each one.)

I was getting "transient" errors yesterday (on a phone, using Google Fiber for WiFi).

Two other reports of transient HTTP errors in the "Problems and Technical Issues with Rosetta@home" thread. Still no such issues on my systems.

Maybe contact & compare ISPs and geographic location with those others that are reporting such issues?

Admittedly, I didn't think of a Trace, but I was one of the "Transient" reporters (and eventually got the files to download). Located in Missouri, USA; Google Fiber 300 Mbps (and trying to download onto two different Android devices).

It's already working on a task that's almost finished (24 hour run time selected), so there are files already present....

I had just checked; nothing for an Android 9.

(Given that Android did have a separate listing until recently for WU's split, and I had received one after the recent change to combine the listings, yes it is hard to tell anymore.)

Edit:And then I check again after posting, and get a task. (Dont know if I could have received more; settings were along the lines of {Run 2 CPU's, 1 different task already running}.)
