One of these things is not like the other:

"Virtualbox is not installed." That's it. Nothing about why it is needed; why it should be installed; the consequences of not installing it. No links about how to do it. Nothing about equipment or OS requirements.

The entitlement and arrogance is astonishing. We're only worth the time for four words.

I'm giving up on Rosetta. I'll leave it as a project in case they ever decide to go back, but it's going to be a 1 percenter with SiDock getting the hog's share of resources.

You don't need the latest Vbox because it does not work well with Python, so goto this link and download 5.2.x and after that is installed then install the extension pack.
https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Download_Old_Builds_5_2
But I should warn you, these python tasks are massive.
The VDI is 9 gigs and will take 10 minutes to download.
The RAM requirement per TASK is 7629.39 real RAM and 1003.xx virtual.
You can set your run time to whatever you want, keep the 8 or switch to 6.
They generate between 126 and 180+ in credits on 6hrs.

We said that 4.2 was non Vbox work and that is hit and miss...mostly miss.
So Vbox is the only thing that is available now as a long term project here at RAH

I appreciate your replies and your guidance. I'm not going to install and set up that software on my computers just to run Rosetta. I'll move on to SiDock or other projects instead.

I am not getting any Rosetta work on any of my machines, and all of them have a Notice that simply states "Virtualbox not installed." Are these two things related?

Yes.
4.2 tasks are done.
The virtualbox tasks are memory hogs and need virtual box 5.x to run properly and you need to enable virtualization on your motherboard to run this.
They will error out on 6.x

Look for a file in your home directory, 5 bytes long and called Boinc-Manager-xxx or similar. If you find it, delete it - it’s a lock file.

Five star review, my man. Much obliged.

This is probably an issue for the BOINC board, but since I know you jamokes I will ask here first.

On one of my hosts, the BOINC manager will not launch. I try to run it as I have in the past, but nothing happens at all.

The host seems to be processing work, based on the CPU usage. But no joy with the manager program.

Any suggestions? I suppose that I can uninstall/reinstall; will that disturb anything?

he seems to know so little about anything

It could be narcissistic personality disorder, or Asperger's, or maybe just expression from lingering trauma about being taunted as "Peter Sucker" in grade school. Whatever. What IS certain is that he is insulated from reason and is desperate for attention. I already ended attempts at the former and will now deny him the latter.

It doesn't matter how many old people die of it, the important thing is how many young people die of it, and that we let them die, so they don't make a weaker next generation.
"[The state] must see to it that only those who are healthy shall beget children; that there is only one infamy, namely, for parents that are ill or show hereditary defects to bring children into the world and that in such cases it is a high honour to refrain from doing so."

You're a real POS, Karen.

Awww, isn't that cute? Karen wants some attention. C'mere, Karen, let me scratch you behind the ears. Who's a good boy? YOU ARE!!! Yes you are! Yes you are!

Good god, you are a clown. A sad, angry clown, but a clown nonetheless.

All four major US automakers participated in the auto industry bailout. Ford didn't need it, but wanted capital to develop new technologies to remain competitive against GM, Chrysler, and GMAC, so they got government loans and lines-of-credit instead of TARP funds.

Anyone can take a few seconds to use Google and find out things like this. Anyone but you. I think that you are just an attention whore. Twit.

One thing we all know is Covid19 is correlated most closely of all to age
This is the only incorrect statement that I could identify in the piece. There's at least one of us who doesn't know that, because jamming your fingers in your ears and humming every time some facts enter your personal space leads to bliss, or something. And only someone who is ignorant of the most widely known and least controversial statistic about COVID (ever hear the slang "boomer remover"?) could come up with something so mind-roastingly idiotic as to say this is evolution at work.

Then prove you're intelligent by contradicting what I wrote with an explanation of what you believe evolution to be. Or can't you manage that?

Nah. When you are shown to be factually incorrect about something, you either change the subject, or just drop it.
I thought that the point was self-evident, but assuming that you understand literally anything seems to be a mistake.

Your priority seems to be to maintain your ignorance at all costs. To be fair, you've been very successful. Well done.
The best part of my morning is sitting back with a cuppa joe and watch Karen get absolutely rinsed by you. And your stamina in keeping up with him/her/it is impressive, too. Can a get you a bottle of Gatorade, fam? A towel? Some salt tablets?

Nah. When you are shown to be factually incorrect about something, you either change the subject, or just drop it. The latter action is a primary reason for the extinction of your convo with Sid. Unfortunate, because watching someone like you getting so thoroughly cornholed was both hilarious and deeply satisfying.

Evolution is the removal of the poor quality genes - of the people that can't fight coronavirus by themselves. It ensures the next generation will be healthier. It's the whole basis of everything organic, unless you're a religious nut.

What part of "apart from expense" didn't you understand? It would certainly be possible,
It used to be irritating, then exasperating, but now it is simply awesome to behold how dishonest you will be with us (and yourself) to protect your delicate little ego. C'mere, Huffer, let me honk your nose.

So, you also don't understand that the source of the sun's power is fusion, not fission? Add that to the list.
I know how it works. Now answer the question.
You know how it works NOW, after I corrected you. How's that feel, Huffer? Getting schooled over and over again by the likes of me?
