Posted 19 Apr 2025 by ![]() Post: Grant (SSSF). Many thanks for your tip. I wasn't aware that there could be an issue with IPv6. When I disabled this, everything worked. Now I'm just waiting for new WUs to be ready to ship. Thanks again for your help. It's much appreciated. L. |

Posted 10 Apr 2025 by ![]() Post: Made these changes some time ago. It finally helped with uploading and downloading WUs. But the feeder not running message keeps popping up when adding the project on a new computer. Something is still not quite right. |

However, if the project is added to a new PC, the feeder still poses a serious challenge. 09/04/2025 01.41.19 | https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ | update requested by user 09/04/2025 01.41.22 | https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. 09/04/2025 01.41.22 | https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ | Requesting new tasks for CPU 09/04/2025 01.41.24 | https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 09/04/2025 01.41.24 | https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ | Server error: feeder not running 09/04/2025 01.41.24 | https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ | Project requested delay of 3600 seconds |

Posted 31 Mar 2025 by ![]() Post: Feeder still not running Right then, for a wee while now, I've been takin' the foot off the gas with the maths projects, see? Figured it was high time to chuck a bit more support at the humanitarian efforts. Rosetta's one of those good eggs, so I've been givin' it the beans on most of my computers. Now, the cheeky wee problem is, for days on end I've been gettin' this message: 'feeder not running' when it's time for an update. And wouldn't you know it, I'm in the middle of wrangling all my machines over from Windows to Linux. So, naturally, I'm gettin' a bit peely-wally about havin' a fair whack of work units stuck on these Windows boxes. It's pushin' back the day I can finally make the switch without losing all that graft, and then there's the wee issue of not being able to fire up the project once a machine's gone all Linuxy. Look, I've got a proper soft spot for Rosetta, a truly worthwhile endeavour it is. But even a saint has their limits, eh? Running a fair few computers to help out the boffins is costin' me more than half my leccy bill, which I'm happy enough to cough up. But on the flip side, I'd expect the clever clogs who need our CPU grunt to make sure the information's flowin' smoothly and all shipshape. Hopin' a fix for this wee fiddle comes along sharpish. Cheers! |

Posted 29 Mar 2025 by ![]() Post: Server Status and operating. Server Status shows all servers are green. However, when we try to communicate with Rosetta, we are greeted with a message that the feeder is inactive. We cannot upload or download WUs to the project, and relocated computers cannot add to the project. Hopefully someone will have a good idea to get this excellent, and important, project back on track. |
