I know there are com issues with VBox 6, but it is worth trying if you haven't already.
That's why I went back to v5. When I had v6, it showed up in VBox but never went any father.

I have settings at 1 day 12 hours. Should be automatically you would think.

Well, I used BOINC on a 3rd computer with nothing on it. I tried the 10 days or work for Rosetta work for 10 days and then stoped it from getting any more and it finished all of that work that it got. I got at least 15 WUs on a 4 core with 10 days of work set.
Task deadlines are always 3 days from when they are delivered. If you ask for 10 days’ worth of work, you might get it – but stand no chance of completing more than 30% of it. All that will do is delay the analysis of the results of the other 70%, as researchers have to wait at least an extra 3 days for the server to resend the tasks to hosts that will actually do the work on time.
People, that's not how it works.

That has nothing to do with additional days or Resource Share" settings.
Did I mention this is happing on 2 computers.
Why should I set "Store at least 0.00 days and additional 0.01 days or work"?
So you can get more Rosetta work as they have 3 day deadlines.
That was why you posted wasn't it- you wanted more Rosetta work? If not, then just leave things as they are.
For one thing the additional days of work is irrelevant since it does not stop Rosseta to not get any work at all. And that's what is just did. Never had this problem before.
It just stop getting Rosetta work months ago.
And I can't get a second computer to get any Roessta work either. Well it got 1 WU then never got any more after that.

Why should I set "Store at least 0.00 days and additional 0.01 days or work"?
Maybe I want 10 days of work for both. And I want to get a day and a half of work. What's the point of giving these options if you can't use them?
Are you saying I can't use an option that BOINC and Rosetta gives me to use?
I have no problems with Prime when it came to a WU that took a week to finish with 100% Priority.
If prime can do it then Rosetta needs to fix it the same way.
Sounds like a bug somewhere.

On my 2.93Ghz are WCG and Rosetta. The other is WCG, Rosetta, Einstein, and Albert@Home.
I did let both computers to get Rosetta only for 1 day of work. Meaning I set all other tasks to "Won't get new tasks".
Still, BOINC wouldn't get and work from Rosetta with the same error "Won't finish on time".

Ever since Rosetta added a change so you can change "Target CPU run time"=TCPU I have stopped getting work. I change to 2-hours TCPU and still got no work. I change it to a day and a half and no work.
I get this message.

What? Busy for the next 6 days?
As of right now, Rosetta has "Tasks ready to send 28477". Doesn't look busy to me.
How many other tasks are ready to start? 28477 What are their deadlines and estimated durations? If there isn’t really that much work in the pipeline, restarting BOINC might reset the calculation.
Deadlines are based on CPU speed and then how long it will take for that WU for that based on CPU speed to finish. BOINC does the calculation based on what Rosetta's information gives. Deadlines are usually 2 days longer than when the task can finish. Deadlines that I can choose can be for 2 hours to a day and a half. Setting any of these in any deadline order I still can't get it to grab any tasks. Note: Doesn't matter what CPU speed you have. If you set it to a day and a half you will get the work but the deadline along with the CPU speed the deadline will adjust acoraccordingly and add around 2 days more on to it.
I had no problems with this for years. I haven't got any work for months now.

You need to increase the resource share for Rosetta@home
Let's say the resource share is at the lowest % of Rosetta is lower than all the others. That still doesn't explain why it says Won't finish on time.
Resource share is irrelevant for this case.
One of my computers is running only 2 Projects. WCG and Rosetta. Both at 50/50.

Then why would Rosetta give you an option to set it for 1 day 12 hours? If a 4 GHz CPU can't crunch it on time then why that an option? Meaning almost no one can because 5GHz is only a hand full of computers (if it was a speed issue, to begin with). Plus, BOINC knows what speed a computer is and compensate for the long work and even for slow computers or just won't get the work.
Oh, it does something- it makes it worse, because it throws out all the information it has got up to that point and has to start all over again from scratch.
I mean resetting does nothing to fix the strang won't finish on time.

Cache is irrelevant since it does not affect not finish on time. I have no problems for years with work not finish on time. That's for some WU that took 15 days to finish on work other than Rosetta. Until Rosetta can with this option for changing the "Target CPU run time". That's with 10 days of work with 10 more of additional work. Again NO problems until now for years.
Number of projects you attached? I gave you the number of errors not the number of projects. All you see is how may that got errors because it won't finish. How do you know how many I attached. I only have Rosetta to grab for work. Anyway, that is still irrelevant.

Yes, because I want it that way. It's an option. If they're giving us an option that we can't use then why give us it in the first place.
Ok, right now I'm running 1 day 12 hours and it seems to finish on time for tomorrow. So I don't know why only 51 of them failed on not finishing on time. After that, I only have in my cache is 6 1/2 hour deadline work for Rosseta.

I get work, work running 24 hours a day, work running my CPU at 100%, work doesn't even get canceled after 2 days of being behind, and just keep crunching all day long. 4 GHz at 100% work time and no playing game at all that time and apparently is not fast enough and this is only happing to Rosetta's work. Prime work that some take 15 days to finish on CPUs finish even after suspending it to play games for over 2 days it still finishes it on time.
Not only BOINC checks for how long it takes, for how fast my CPU is, and for when the deadline is it still grabs the work and never finishes it on time. Resetting does nothing.

So why do I have no GPUGRID WUs. And only GPUGRID work I have set to only.
And to check settings for what. Work was just fine for me until it wasn't. What does having to check settings have to do with anything Jim?
Rosetta still has "14943" WU ready to send and no work?
