1) Message boards : Rosetta@home Science : 3 tasks, but no oune wil be crunched, "zur ausführung bereit" (Message 106328)

I am sorry I am arriving late (the tasks are expired).

If you continue to experience it, there are two interesting places for obtaining more info about the issue:
1.- Boinc logs, in the menu Tools -> Event register.
2.- VBox and rosetta logs. The folder depends in the Linux distribution and boinc compilation you are using. In my system, the path is /var/lib/boinc-client/projects/boinc.bakerlab.org_rosetta

I had an issue affecting only to vbox tasks, and was due to a permissions issue that is affecting to several non-updated projects: vbox tried to create the files in a path boinc was not authorized to. The parameter was changed in 2016:

I am receiving the error "Error in simple_cycpcp_predict app read_sequence() function! The minimum number of residues for a cyclic peptide is 4. (GenKIC requires three residues, plus a fourth to serve as an anchor).
ERROR:: Exit from: src/protocols/cyclic_peptide_predict/ line: 2264" in the preetham_gen_* tasks.

Why could I receive the message "Communication with VM Hipervisor failed"? In the VBox register appears the error
«Failed to create the VirtualBox object!
NS_ERROR_SOCKET_FAIL (0xC1F30200) IPC Daemon socket error.»

I have the Boinc version 7.16.16 and the VirtualBox 6.1.26 r145957 running on Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye) [5.10.0-8-amd64|libc 2.31 (Debian GLIBC 2.31-13)].
The boinc user is added to the vboxusers, vboxguests and libvirt groups.

Any clue about what could be happening? I have no experience with VirtualBox, I installed it just as a Rosetta@home requirement.

Good afternoon,

I have received four tasks of the application "rosetta python projects v1.03 (vbox64) x86_64-pc-linux-gnu". All of the tasks failed with the same error: "-186 (0xFFFFFF46) ERR_RESULT_DOWNLOAD". In the logs appears the following:
WU download error: couldn't get input files:
<error_code>-119 (md5 checksum failed for file)</error_code>
<error_message>MD5 check failed</error_message>

This is the computer who obtained the errors:

Here are the tasks:

Good morning. There are no new tasks in the server. The issue started no later than on Sunday afternoon (probably sooner). Any update on this?

Good afternoon, Iverbpunkt,

It happened to me, too. It is not often, but sometimes downloads hang up. When it happens, I select the downloads, cancel them and BOINC starts to communicate again without trouble. I suggest you to make a try just with the downloads. Then, you can try with the uploads (just one at first, and so).
