I believe that one of the main ingredients is phosphoric acid. Acid often cleans corrosion from metal. At 85% strength it apparently does..... Processed food use Food-grade phosphoric acid is used to acidify foods and beverages such as various colas, but not without controversy regarding its health effects. It provides a tangy or sour taste and, being a mass-produced chemical, is available cheaply and in large quantities. The low cost and bulk availability is unlike more expensive natural seasonings that give comparable flavors, such as citric acid which is obtainable from lemons and limes. (However most citric acid in the food industry is not extracted from citrus fruit, but fermented by Aspergillus niger mold from scrap molasses, waste starch hydrolysates and phosphoric acid.) It is labeled as E number E338. I think I might give up drinking Coke.....

Try to find a common theme among a number of people and start up a team for them. Let them compete in a friendly fashion for RAC and crunching position. This can be as individuals in a team, or teams V's teams. People like seeing their names in print as cruncher of the month etc, friendly rivalry between teams is also good. Plus they are also crunching for a good cause as well. Most people get involved in DC by personal word of mouth and recommendation from friends. Just my 4c worth....

You can drop a really dirty coin into a glass of coke and it will be bright shiny new by the morning. A rag soaked in it will clean your car windscreen from all sorts of muck. Wasn't there some stuff called Trugel? i can't find any reference to that..... Well there definitely was a product called that in the early 1960's because I used it! It was in a toothpaste sized tube and was a very sticky clear gel. There were also bottles of Brilliantine liquid as well....
