1) Message boards : Number crunching : Computation errors with BOINC 7.0.25 (WinXP 32 bit) (Message 73069)

I've just gone back to version 7.026 and I'm getting errors again.

As i'm not prepared to waste anymore valuable computing time on unpredictable results, I've detatched from the project until matters are resolved.

Yes I could go back to version 6.xxx as I did do earlier in this thread, but I'm not faffing around anymore.

I dont have any problems with Seti, on all 3 of my machines running 7.026, and that where I will stay until this is sorted.

I'm crunching Rosetta on a 32bit machine, so I don't think the 64 bit argument below can be valid.

Yesterday 27/4/2012 I was getting more and more client errors using BOINC 7.0.025.

In frustration I stopped my crunching with Rosetta and replaced BOINC with version 6.12.34 which can still be downloaded from the BOINC website.

Since then, I have had no client errors.

So on conclusion, something seems amiss with BOINC 7.0.25 and Rosetta.

My other 2 64bit computers are crunching other projects seperatley and are not experiencing any issues with BOINC 7.0.25 yet !

Its a temporary solution, in my case, and I hope it helps others, until the situation is resolved.

I've had approx 14 client errors out of my last 100 WU's

My other projects are working fine.

I suspect these are dud WU's expecially as many others are experiencing similar errors.

I'll carry on crunching, as I'm sure that matters will eventually be sorted out.

Yes I am using BOINC 7.0.25

Just to let everyone know, that I'm now getting wu's uploading to r@h.

Still, got about 20 outstanding on our network , but I suspect its due to a huge backlog from all participating.

Anyway, its a start

I've detatched the project from our network until the administrators can be bothered to update us regarding the issues posted here.

I'm not wasting my network time or my power consumption, on work units that may or may not eventually upload.

I've sacrificed 6 wu's, and diverted my capacity to the other projects I'm running.

Ok the first of the new wu's which arrived this morning has just finished.

On attempt to upload and gave the same message Project File Upload Handler Is missing.

So as I stated in my previous thread,I've suspended R@h until things are sorted.

Work now being diverted to other projects.

I've only got 6 wu on our network attempting to upload, and these all all indicating Project File Handler is missing.
However, this morning I got 2 wu downloaded from R@h, awaitng to see what happens when they complete.
If I get Project File Handler is missing with these, then I'm suspending R@h until the matter is sorted out.
